Swansea University has recently secured funding from the Welsh Government’s Department for Health and Social Services in order to build portfolios of clinically-relevant intellectual property and commercialisation opportunities across the Welsh NHS and at Swansea University. This Welsh Government funding has been matched by Swansea University, creating a pan-Wales Pathfinder Programme (SHIPP). Clinicians from Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Swansea University/Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board have been successful in obtaining funding to develop innovative healthcare technology in mental health aimed at the general public. The project will result in an App for use by the general public which will be designed to help people ascertain whether they, or people they care about, are likely to be suffering from an eating disorder. The App will be free to use and released early in the New Year. If you would like more information or wish to explore possibilities for collaboration please contact:
