Mobile Office

Flintshire County Council

The concept of the Mobile office service was instigated from the devastating floods that hit several parts of Flintshire during the winter of 1999. Flintshire County Council at that time had no provision of a co-ordination point in the event of such instances, and in order to provide support and information to communities that were affected by the flooding. The service during that time was termed the “Flintshire Mobile Response Unit”. However, following the successful use of “mobile response” to support communities during emergency time, the potential of the project, was soon realised.
