Together for Children and Young People Programme - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Needs Assessment

The Health Needs Assessment provides the data and evidence in respect of important mental health issues, including the prevalence, risk and protective factors and the evidence of what can be done to support children and young people. The sections of the Needs Assessment cover and make recommendations in relation to:

  • the mental wellbeing of all children and young people in Wales
  • the early intervention and identification of those at greater risk of mental health problems
  • the more serious and enduring mental ill health experienced by some children and young people
  • the needs of those with neurodevelopmental disorders
